Goals for the Weekend Trial

I am writing down my goals now so I can’t fudge them later:

1. Weaves on the first pass for both dogs; I will move on if they don’t get them in two tries. (“Anything more than twice is a training issue and shouldn’t be handled at trials.” Good advice, can’t remember where it came from.)
2. I will remember that Dancer does not have Elly’s ring experience; I will keep it positive, handle closely, and be very explicit in my handling.
3. I will consider Elly’s hips and not get grumpy should she choose not to run a round.
4. One-jump leadout for Elly without losing her attention.

Really, I don’t want much… Ha! Of course, I dream of Q’ing in all five runs, both days.
