Okay, I am a geek.

I think this is unspeakably cool:

Okay, you ask. What’s so cool about that?

Look closely. It’s a Mobius strip scarf. You cast on, start knitting, and the beginning becomes the MIDDLE of the scarf… you knit round and round and then you cast off… and you’re done. It’s designed by a woman named Cat Bordhi, who also developed a method to knit a tube using two circular needles instead of double-pointed needles. It’s clear to me that this woman is some sort of genius. I am making plans to attend a seminar she’s giving in April, in Newport, Oregon. Three days of mind-bending knitting ideas. Woohoo!
