There’s Rain, and then there’s Rain
January 19th, 2008 Posted in poodlesI was busy this morning, and so it was almost 3 this afternoon before I got out with the dogs, meaning that it was an hour and a half before it got too dark to walk… and I need my daily walk or I am NOT a nice person. So I didn’t have a lot of choice when I got to Marymoor and discovered it was really and truly raining, which is just not that common. I have a good raincoat (it’s “guaranteed waterproof” so it takes a while to actually soak through), and it lives in the car, and I wore that, but still, half an hour and the dogs were still running like maniacs–to keep warm, I assume–and my pants were completely drenched.
First time in quite a while that the dogs didn’t protest a bit about getting in the car. Usually they stand there and look at me for a moment: “do I have to?” and then they get in. This time they got in and started pointing at the controls for the seat heater.
I always say that if Dancer had thumbs she’d drive–she likes to sit in the front seat–but today I was really hoping she’d do it. No luck, though.
