Prey animals are dumb OR Why was I looking forward to spring?

After yesterday’s adventure in the bushes at Marymoor, I thought I’d just keep the dogs home today. But when I took them out into the yard, there was a bunny in the yard, which Elly and Dancer just had to chase… and so it took fifteen minutes of cold windy rain to persuade them to come in. They really believed the bunny was going to come back into the yard with them there.

All these animals going stupid places–our yard, the dog park–make me think that spring hormones are affecting their brains.
