What a weekend!

Monday morning and I’m sore all over. The dogs are curled up in the corners of the couch, twitching slightly as they sleep.

Sunday was cooler, but somehow the heat on Saturday had left me and the dogs drained and we hadn’t recharged fully. Dancer ran first yesterday, and got her first Novice FAST Q; she did well in Open Jumpers but I just couldn’t keep up with her and she had an off-course, so no Q.

Elly did respectably in her first run excellent Standard run, but was over time (the chute opened right into a neighboring tent, where Bonny, Sherry, and Sandy were sitting, so she went to say hi… they of course gave her the “I don’t know you” look and she came back!) and didn’t want to do her weaves, so we didn’t Q. In Jumpers, it was clear she was flat out hot and tired, and we did half the run and left.

Saturday’s Open FAST course:

I sent Elly up the right side over the three 1-point jumps, over the 9, wrapped to the triple (7), then over the 8 jump and the single bar jump to the send (2-3-4) and out over the teeter, the unpointed jump, and the finish jump.
