What that dog is thinking….

May 27th, 2008 Posted in life with poodles

Over the weekend, I watched numerous dogs as they ran agility courses, and I found myself wondering what the dogs were thinking as they ran.

My standard poodle Elly, as she does the A-frame: “Wow, it’s high up here. Hey everyone, don’t I look wonderful?”

My standard poodle Dancer, as she runs Jumpers at top speed: “WHEE! I love to jump high! Whoops, missed a jump! Oh well, I’ll duck into that tunnel!”

Sandy’s border collie Tokahe, as he races through the weaves, bending them from side to side: “Who cares if it hurts tomorrow? Live for today! I live to run agility courses!”

Susan’s golden retriever Skye: “This is fun! This is fun! This is fun!”

A black lab as he ran: “Can we go swimming later? Where’s my ball?”

Sue’s rat terriers: “Where’s the rat? where’s the rat? maybe down THIS tunnel? No? Maybe THIS one!”
