I know this is getting really boring… but…
November 12th, 2008 Posted in life with poodles, trainingDancer and I met a new trainer a few days ago, Debbie Berkley of High Voltage Agility. It was fun, and it went well, and we worked on Dancer’s teeter, too. Debbie pointed out that Dancer is both afraid of the noise AND the motion of the teeter. So for a while I clicked and treated while she banged the teeter and then we clicked and treated for working on the Buja board. By the end of that, she seemed somewhat more comfortable with both noise and motion, but she’s a long way from relaxed and enthusiastic.
Today with Cheryl, Dancer was back to being suspicious of the teeter. We lowered it to the bottom, and Cheryl banged while I treated, and then she did a few low teeters, reluctantly at first, and then with some enthusiasm.
