Poodles, Dog Agility, Dog Training… and Knitting

A quick trial report…

Today’s NADAC trial–I’m going back Saturday and Sunday–went well, really, even though I only got one stinkin’ Q… First off, Dancer was SEVEN seconds under time in weavers with a beautiful run–marred only by getting the wrong tunnel (the one that added a bit of distance)–so three sets of weaves done well. Then she actually GOT HER CONTACTS in regular, and the run was fault-free. Almost. We were slightly over time. Very slightly.

0.01 seconds over time. Oh well.

The second regular run didn’t go as well, sadly. She didn’t like the dogwalk, but took it with some encouragement, but of course we were E’d for training in the ring–we left immediately after the dogwalk so I could reward her decision to do it and do it well.

In the first chances run, she actually got one rear toe in the yellow on a distance A-frame send–and so she got another chances Q, for her O-NCC (outstanding novice chances). Sadly, in the second chances run, she didn’t get the toe in on the A-frame distance send (almost identical to the first one).
