Pre-Christmas Knitting

I am trying to finish a sweater for my daughter (see previous post on favorite mammals). It would go much faster if I didn’t keep messing up the cable pattern. I’ve ripped back to correct the cable (and I never rip back unless I’m sure I have to) at least five times. I’ve stopped trying to knit the sweater and talk to people at the same time because it’s too easy to mess up.

The cable pattern is:

2 purl, cable 2 back, 1 purl, cable 2 forward, 2 purl

which creates this pattern, when done every four rows…
