Contacts are still an issue
April 27th, 2009 Posted in life with poodlesDancer, Elly, and I spent the weekend at the WAG NADAC games trial in Monmouth, Oregon. Just a little too far from home for my taste, and I don’t think I should trial every weekend, no matter how tempting it is.
Dancer got one Q. Four runs Saturday and no Qs; three runs Sunday and one Q. Elly got zero.
Dancer’s one Q was in Weavers, where she took third with a 146-yard, 3-sets-of-6-poles run of 38.88 seconds, almost ten seconds under standard course time. That includes the set of poles she had to redo because I talked to her and she popped out.
That elusive first Q in Touch N Go continues to elude us. Instead of the gorgeous A-frame I get in practice, this is what I get at a trial:
