The Surprising Effects of Regular Training…

July 28th, 2009 Posted in life with poodles

Now that I’m done moving, and the Columbia Agility Team has accepted me as a member, I have regular training times. Thursdays I work with Debbie, and I have barn time on Mondays and Wednesdays. Some Sundays I squeeze in another training session. This is more regular training than I have done in since July 0f 2008. Combined with the consistency that Susan Perry rightfully insisted I needed and the fact that I’m not trialing (and therefore not getting sloppy), progress is happening quite quickly now. Imagine that… regular training gets better results than irregular training? Who would have thought?

Suddenly (ha! it took months, but now I see results) Dancer has reliable contacts, even if I don’t treat every time. Suddenly I have a start-line stay with Elly…

Now none of this has been proofed in the hot cauldron of a trial, but I have about six weeks before my next trial, and I’m cautiously optimistic.
