More trial news…
January 9th, 2010 Posted in life with poodles, trialsOf course, I checked the results first thing this morning: Elly took FIRST in Open Standard Preferred, running nearly 20 seconds under time. Quite credible!
This morning I ran Dancer in Novice FAST–Q, 73 points, and FIRST!–and in Open Jumpers for the first time at 24″. She had a lovely run in Jumpers but I didn’t stay to see the results. It was a tricky course with a lot of turns and I think she did very well.
Elly ran in Excellent Standard for the first time and immediately relieved the tension by going around the tire, which was the first obstacle. From there we had a lovely, although not flawless, run. She got her weaves, contacts, table, teeter and the triple, which was everything I worried about. Apparently I should also have worried about setting her line more accurately, as I called her off a tunnel!
Official weekend results:
Dancer:
Novice JWW: 27.16 seconds, SCT 37 sec, 112 yards, 3rd place (4.1 yps)
Nov FAST: 33.76 seconds, 73 points, 1st place

Elly:
Open Preferred Standard: 51.21 sec, SCT 72 sec, 163 yards, 100 points, 1st place (3.2 yps or 3.5 if you take out the table)
