Flying Poodles

Wildlife

I took the dogs out to the Delta today for a nice long walk. We saw:

* a dead, half-eaten beaver, with two vultures circling just above the remains
* lots and lots of coyote scat just full of blackberry seeds
* a beautiful stag loping away from us
* a great blue heron fishing in a pond
* an enormous flock of sparrows feeding on blackberries–you could hear them from hundreds of yards away
